WHAT AWAITS YOU

Tenerife is often called the “island of eternal spring” – mainly thanks to its stable climate, which is especially appreciated by visitors. Here you will find 68 km of various sandy beaches, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or enjoying sports such as diving, surfing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, and paddleboarding. If you long for a hike during your holiday, we definitely recommend visiting the island’s main landmark, the dormant volcano Pico de Teide. With an area of 2,054 km², Tenerife is the largest of the seven Canary Islands. It lies between Gran Canaria and La Gomera. In the center of the island rises Spain’s highest peak, Pico de Teide, measuring 3,718 m above sea level, considered by many to be the island’s symbol. The Teide National Park is the most visited national park in Europe and one of the busiest in the world. On the island, tomatoes and bananas are mainly grown. Canary bananas are smaller and sweeter than the South American ones we know. Agriculture also produces potatoes, citrus fruit, and exotic fruits such as papaya, kiwi, and pineapple. The most important source of income for the island, however, is tourism.

La Tejita

This long and wide natural sandy beach is among the most beautiful on the island. Alongside the beach stands the area’s landmark – Montaña Roja, the Red Mountain. We highly recommend climbing to the top for breathtaking views of the surroundings. The area is part of a nature reserve, offering beautiful natural scenery. At the same time, you’ll find amenities such as shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, a children’s playground, a bus stop, and a taxi stand.

El Médano – 7 minutes by car from La Tejita

El Médano, meaning “dune” in Spanish, is a charming, typical Canarian town that grew from a small fishing village on Tenerife’s southern coast. It is perfect for both a classic summer holiday full of sports and sunbathing, as well as for relaxing leisure. The beach at El Médano is the largest of Tenerife’s natural beaches and also one of the most beautiful. The ocean here is wonderfully clear, and the gentle breeze is ideal for water sports such as windsurfing, surfing, and kitesurfing. In local restaurants you can taste traditional Canarian dishes. Typical products include meat, fresh fish, seafood, black potatoes, mojo sauce, gofio, goat and sheep cheeses, wines, fruits, and a wide range of desserts and sweets. The nightlife in El Médano is very calm – locals and tourists alike spend romantic evenings in oceanfront restaurants, enjoying the sea views and sunsets. For shopping, you’ll find small shops with basic groceries, fresh fruit, souvenirs, and other holiday essentials.

Los Abrigos – 4 minutes by car from La Tejita

Los Abrigos is a pleasant fishing village with small shops and restaurants. Walking along the coastal promenade, you can spot many crabs moving freely on the ocean rocks. Here you’ll also find several restaurants specializing in fish dishes, a shop with fresh vegetables and fruit, as well as homemade products such as fresh juices and lemonades prepared from seasonal fruit. There are also clothing shops and even a second-hand bookstore.
